Job Description:


Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.



+ Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, regulations and standards.


+ Participation in Tenneco's safety programs


+ Responsible for basic safety training of all hourly and salaried personnel,


+ Responsible for all accident reporting and investigation and maintaining of OSHA regulations and paperwork


+ Responsible for being a process facilitator (Ergo Teams, Safety Committee)


+ Analysis of data from incident reports, observations, etc.


+ Participate in TenPlus


+ Creation and maintaining of BOS Charts


+ Responsible for growing Tenneco's safety culture by spending a large amount of time on the shop floor interacting with the team

Education and/or Experience



+ 2 year degree and 1 to 2 years' experience, or an equivalent combination



Language Skills


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Mathematical Skills


Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


Reasoning Ability


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Computer Skills


To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP Manufacturing software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.


Other Skills and Abilities


Proven knowledge of all federal, state, and local laws/regulations pertaining to EH&S. Must possess and be able to apply broad knowledge of theories, principles and techniques in EH&S plus a working knowledge of related disciplines. Ability to use computer, calculator and other basic office equipment. Skill with basic paperwork, filing, general manufacturing principles and processes.
